Summary:
Account Adjusters reconcile borrower account discrepancies for the Perkins Loan Servicing Program. This position ensures payments, deferments, and cancellations are accurately applied, maintaining compliance and financial integrity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in borrower accounts.
Process account updates in line with FSA, NIST, and TCPA guidelines.
Collaborate with customer service to clarify borrower issues.
Maintain accurate records within servicing platforms and reports.
Use advanced tools (e.g., AWS Redshift) to ensure real-time financial accuracy.
Participate in training to stay current on compliance and servicing protocols.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Team-oriented with strong communication abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive financial data with integrity.
- Possess at least 2 years of related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in loan servicing, accounting, or financial reconciliation.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial software.
- Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Familiarity with federal compliance standards
