Summary:
The Customer Service Specialist handles complex borrower inquiries for the Perkins Loan Servicing Program, offering advanced knowledge and solutions. This role ensures FSA compliance, high service quality, and efficient resolution of escalated cases.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Address complex borrower questions regarding account issues, payments, or cancellations.
Maintain strict compliance with FSA, TCPA, and federal guidelines.
Document interactions thoroughly and update servicing platforms accurately.
Assist in developing self-service tools and borrower resources.
Collaborate with supervisors to refine processes and enhance service.
Stay updated on program policies and changes to provide expert-level support.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to handle high-stress, escalated calls effectively.
- Possess at least 6 months of experience in data entry or finance industry
- High school diploma or equivalent certification, such as the GED
- Experience in customer service, especially in financial services or loan servicing.
- Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- College coursework, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with compliance requirements
